About The Position

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an F-22 Structures Mechanic - Mod Tech C at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), Alaska. In this role you will be responsible for performing maintenance repair and upgrades on F-22 systems and structures. You will utilize aircraft technical orders, publications, blueprints and drawings to perform a variety of maintenance actions on aircraft systems and sub systems including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and engines.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of aircraft maintenance experience
  • 1+ years of experience with structural repair, fabrication, and modification on military fighter platforms (F-16, F-18, F-22, F-5, F-14, or F-15)
  • Must have thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers.
  • Must be willing to work variable shifts
  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience repairing, and servicing military fighter aircraft F-15, F-16, F-18, A-10, F-22, F-35
  • 3+ years of aircraft maintenance experience
  • 1+ year(s) of 5th generation aircraft maintenance experience
  • Experience maintaining and troubleshooting aircraft avionics systems
  • Experience drilling, cutting, and fabricating aircraft structural components

Responsibilities

  • Assists with disassembly of systems components to support the correction of failures or implement changes.
  • Assists with basic troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
  • Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components.
  • Fabricates and modifies aerospace products according to specifications.
  • Assists with performs tasks associated with the safe handling of a simple aerospace vehicle (e.g. jacking, towing, system operations).
  • Works under supervision.
