About The Position

The F-22 Program operates a System Integration Lab at Hill AFB, located in Ogden Utah. The System Integration Lab conducts Integration and Certification of the F-22 Operational Flight Program (OFP). Position is for a Lab Operations Engineer. This position requires a solid understanding of complex laboratory and computing systems. The Lab Operation role will perform general maintenance and repair of laboratory H/W, manage program assets, ship & receive program equipment, reconfigure laboratory cables and equipment, purchase equipment, maintain/update/release drawings, design/build cables/racks. A solid understanding of the software environment within the lab infrastructure will be useful. Technician support is available to perform specific H/W repairs, when possible and cable repair or manufacturing under the leadership of the Lab Ops engineer. Experience with commercial tools such as Visio for drawing support is valuable. Experience with troubleshooting and utilizing lab equipment such as power meters, oscilloscopes, etc is preferred. Candidate will be required to learn the Boeing purchasing system, property management and document release processes. This position will require close coordination with external organizations including Air Force personnel, Air Force F-22 Customer, and F-22 Team Companies. This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active). Export Control Requirement: This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status. Active F-22 program access is preferred, but if not currently active, must be able to obtain F-22 program access. This position is 100% on-site.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
  • 2+ years of experience in Lab Operations
  • Asset and Configuration management
  • Purchasing
  • Understanding of electrical diagrams
  • Experience with Commercial test equipment (i.e. analyzers, meters etc…)
  • active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)
  • Must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarization with flight simulators.
  • Familiarization with Aircraft Avionic Systems.
  • Familiarization with Laboratory Environment.
  • Experience with commercial tools such as Visio for drawing support
