About The Position

F-22 Design & DADT Engineering Manager Company: The Boeing Company The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity within our F-22 Raptor Program. Our team is seeking an experienced leader to join the St. Louis, MO, location. This position is for a first line manager with direct reports performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Mechanical & Structural Engineering. As an Engineering First Line Leader, the candidate will lead engineers working closely with the United States Air Force and industry partners to sustain and modernize the F-22 Raptor to ensure fleet readiness and continued air dominance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
  • 5+ years of experience in an engineering related role
  • 1+ years of experience working with Mechanical or Structures related statements of work.
  • 3+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal leadership role
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters Degree in Engineering
  • 1+ years of engineering leadership experience (in lead or manager role) working on advanced fighter aircraft
  • Experience training and/or mentoring in a technical environment

Responsibilities

  • Leads and provides oversight to employees performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of DADT analysis and structural design.
  • Effectively plans and executes statement of work (cost, schedule, technical, & safety).
  • Establish, track, and automate value added metrics that help to effectively manage the business.
  • Identify, develop, implement, & champion initiatives to shape/modernize our business.
  • Establishes, develops, & maintains partnerships with team, customers, stakeholders, peers, & partners.
  • Effectively communicates with team, Leadership, and stakeholders.
  • Mentor, motivate, and provide growth and development opportunities for team.
