The position involves working closely with other mechanics and maintenance personnel on aircraft structural modifications, upgrades, and repairs. The individual will locate cracks, breaks, holes, and dents in aircraft sheet metal structures and determine appropriate repairs from technical data to restore components to their original strength. The role requires identifying damaged or weakened structures, including skins, stringers, bulkheads, and ribs, and developing appropriate repair plans to restore component airworthiness. Additionally, the individual will read and interpret blueprints to determine dimensions, angles, and contours necessary for structural repair.
