About the position
The F-16 Depot Flightline Avionics Technician is responsible for troubleshooting pre-flight and post-flight issues, as well as performing unscheduled maintenance on F-16 aircraft. This role includes launching and recovering aircraft, conducting flight inspections, and troubleshooting post-modification issues. The technician will perform a variety of duties in electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and optical areas, which includes constructing, troubleshooting, calibrating, adjusting, testing, diagnosing, and maintaining equipment, components, devices, or systems. The technician will work from schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions, operate related equipment, conduct tests, and report data in a prescribed format. Calibration and alignment checks will be performed, along with making adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed. The position does not require any tools.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot pre-flight and post-flight issues
- Perform unscheduled maintenance on F-16 aircraft
- Launch and recover F-16 aircraft
- Conduct flight inspections
- Troubleshoot post-modification issues
- Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, diagnose, and maintain equipment
- Work from schematics and engineering drawings
- Operate related equipment and conduct tests

Requirements
- Flightline Avionics Experience
- Avionics troubleshooting experience
- Ability to work first or second shift
- Must be US Citizen
Nice-to-haves
- Fighter experience preferred but not required
