About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking an F-15 Lead Mission Solution Management Systems Engineer (Level 4) to join the F-15 Mission Systems Team located in Berkeley, MO . The Boeing Company is currently seeking a highly motivated, Lead Solutions Engineer who wishes to expand into the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Solution leadership role and become part of the F-15 Mission Systems team to support the United States Air Force development programs. Mission Systems is responsible for the design, development, and testing of avionics and mission software on the F-15. These systems include new avionics such as weapons, sensors, navigation, radios, displays, and mission processing. As a F-15 Lead Mission Systems Solution Engineer you will provide solution level leadership to teams representing multiple skill areas, working with program management, customers, subject matter experts, and engineering teams, throughout the entire development, fielding and operational lifecycle of the F-15.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 9+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start and final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
  • This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience in an Agile Lead Role: Product Manager or Product Owner
  • 2+ years of experience with Mission Systems
  • 2+ years of experience with Product Management: schedule and cost management
  • Experience with Proposal Estimation
  • Experience with Earned Value Management
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Clearquest, Git, DOORS
  • Strong collaboration and coordination skills
  • Current SAFe Certifications

Responsibilities

  • Works with internal stakeholders and external customers to coordinate execution of ongoing hardware-software integration efforts in a fast-paced Agile environment
  • Execute an Agile development program with changing priorities to deliver rapid capability development to our F-15 United States Air Force customer
  • Plan, identify, prioritize, and coordinate resources required over the life of the program that involves coordination with multiple scrum/Kanban teams, external resources, and customers
  • Provide technical, business, and integration leadership for the development and execution of products and be responsible for communication across teams as well as multiple engineering disciplines and program leadership
  • Develops Program PI Objective definition and work with Scrum Team Leads and Kanban Leads in planning to those objectives across the Mission Systems team
  • Supports capability release plan development for each release cycle
  • Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; Domestically depending on business needs.
