About The Position
Saving Sight is a nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring vision through eye donation and corneal transplantation. Our mission is to change lives by giving the gift of sight. Every day, we work with hospitals, funeral homes, and donor families to honor the wishes of eye donors and help recipients regain their vision. We are seeking an Eye Donor Advocate to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals with experience or interested in social work, hospice care, case management, or phone-based support who are passionate about helping others. You will play a critical role in coordinating eye donation, supporting families during sensitive times, and ensuring the successful recovery and transport of donated tissue.
Requirements
- Background in social work, healthcare, or related field preferred.
- Strong communication and active listening skills.
- Ability to remain calm and compassionate in sensitive situations.
- Detail-oriented and organized with strong problem-solving skills.
