About The Position

As a Director in EY-Parthenon's Strategy & Execution - Deal Technology practice focusing on Enterprise Reimagined, you will lead high-impact engagements that drive both cost optimization and top-line growth across complex transactions and corporate transformations. You will work with C-suite executives, private equity clients, and corporate leadership to identify, plan, and execute technology-driven strategies that optimize IT and operational costs while also accelerating revenue and digital innovation during mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and carve-outs as well as in non-transaction/transformation settings. This role blends deep IT expertise with strategic insight to deliver measurable value through cost transformation, digital enablement, operational efficiency, and tech-enabled growth initiatives.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 5 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 3 years of related work experience.
  • Experience in management consulting, IT strategy, digital transformation, and transaction advisory.
  • Proven experience in cost optimization and tech-driven growth initiatives.
  • Ability to synthesize complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Comprehensive understanding of IT cost structures and ability to convert technology opportunities into financial impact.
  • Familiarity with digital product development and data analytics.
  • Expertise in a minimum of 4 specified IT skillsets.
  • Experience in merger & acquisition contexts.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive change.

Nice To Haves

  • An MBA or other relevant advanced degree.
  • Further Technical Depth or Certifications (Agile, ITIL, PMP, etc.).
  • Emerging Tech Familiarity with AI, IoT, or advanced data analytics.
  • Industry Sector Knowledge in finance, healthcare, manufacturing, etc.
  • Established networking skills and a presence in the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Lead value-creation technology projects that span cost optimization and growth enablement.
  • Guide clients through IT-focused strategies that enhance operational efficiency and unlock new revenue opportunities.
  • Advise senior stakeholders and collaborate across functions.
  • Apply emerging technologies (AI, cloud, data analytics) to deliver measurable business impact.
  • Drive aspects of business development, including presentations and client meetings.
  • Coach junior colleagues to become high-performing.
  • Contribute to practice development initiatives.
