Ernst & Young Capital Advisors, LLC (EYCA) offers investment banking and capital markets advisory services to our clients, with access to a global network of EY mergers & acquisitions, equity, convertible, and debt capital markets professionals. Our EY Capital Markets Advisory team provides product expertise and independent, objective advice across the capital markets product spectrum. Our Equity Capital Markets group partners with our clients as they consider capital markets financing alternatives. Specifically, the team helps clients prepare for and execute critical transactions including IPOs, follow-on equity, convertible debt and call spread offerings, and private capital raises. The team also provides broad advice to issuers as they consider capital structure alternatives and capital return policies. Our team produces data and analysis to provide clients with tailored insights and independent, objective recommendations that are leveraged to inform critical strategic financing decisions.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of related work experience on an equity capital markets desk or a graduate degree and at least 1-2 years of related work experience on an equity capital markets desk.
  • Strong working knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Deal experience that includes traditional equity market transactions (IPOs, follow-on offerings, etc.).
  • Familiarity with the convertible debt market.
  • Efficient use of research databases, technical ability to formulate/leverage data.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to develop and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Significant level of personal accountability.
  • You must either reside in or be in a commutable distance to your office location for this position.
  • The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Advising clients on strategic alternatives and corporate finance solutions.
  • Researching, reviewing, and tracking precedent transactions.
  • Producing detailed and informed capital markets data, with a focus on the IPO and pre-IPO capital markets.
  • Targeting and analyzing the private company landscape to source potential clients.
  • Preparing and delivering compelling presentations and pitches.
  • Managing client engagements both internally and externally.
  • Training and developing junior bankers and managing their content.
  • Being a flexible and energetic part of a dynamic team helping companies achieve formative transactions.
