About The Position

The primary responsibility of this position is to start-up, set-up, monitor, and maintain extrusion operations, perform shutdowns, and conduct minor maintenance on the line as needed. The goal is to ensure extrusion lines run continuously and efficiently, producing products that meet or exceed customer expectations.

Requirements

High school or GED equivalent
One year of manufacturing experience
Knowledge of extrusion process
Mechanical aptitude
Must be able to work at 12 hour shift

Responsibilities

Comply with Westlake Safety Policies and Procedures
Regular attendance, timeliness, and scheduling flexibility
Set and Start-up extruders
Install dies using hand and power tools
Regulate Vacuum, Air pressure, Sizing rolls, temperature, and Synchronize speed of extruder to produce a quality product
Adjust speed, temperature, raw material flow to produce a quality product within Westlake specs
Examine product for defects and correct them
Measure the product to ensure it is within Westlake Specs
