About The Position

RPI, LLC (Located in Green Bay, WI) is a part of Premier Outdoor Living, an entrepreneurial manufacturer that produces products for the outdoor living space. POL consists of 3 unique business, Spa cabinets, HDPE Lumber, and Outdoor Furniture. We operate 3 facilities, 2 in Pennsylvania and 1 in Wisconsin that support the three business. This position is to support RPI Lumber and will be based in Green Bay, WI. Hiring multiple shifts - 2nd and 3rd 8-hour shifts Monday to Friday; and 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend off. Job Summary: The Extrusion Tech will be responsible for manufacturing order specific profiles beginning with our raw materials, handling quality checks, and then packaging the finished product.

Requirements

  • Basic computer skills required; advanced computer skills preferred.
  • High school diploma / general education degree (GED) or three to five years related experience working in extrusion preferred.
  • Advanced Math skills required (add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs).
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking through the factory.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on computers.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
  • Visual acuity to inspect products and machinery.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift operation experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of LEAN and High-Performance Work Teams / Self Directed Work Team is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage appropriate materials and quantities supplied to the production lines; while maintaining adherence to customer specification, quality standards, and productivity; including overseeing equipment and process adjustments.
  • Perform line/equipment start up, color and tool changeover, while operating profile lines with established procedures.
  • Perform quality checks to meet client specifications for color, pattern, length, and width.
  • Perform regular daily and weekly equipment preventative maintenance (PM’s) such as, inspections, care, and cleaning of equipment.
  • Oversee accurate documentation of production, scrap, run conditions, and other key data.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve any equipment and process concerns in a timely manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
