Here is a chance for you to make a positive impact - join us in this career opportunity: Extrusion Technician (2nd Shift 3:00PM-1:00AM M-TH) This non-supervisory position, located in Delavan, Wisconsin, will care for all machine-specific functions such as startup, configuring the equipment, loading, and operating the machines, changeover, shutdown, preventative maintenance, and optimizing the machine capability. Technicians will ensure that assigned machines are running to their full capacity, oversee and perform light maintenance, and perform quality checks to drive Continental Plastic (CPC) profitability and achieve organizational KPI's and strategic objectives. Under the guidance of the Production Supervisor, responsibilities include: Performing necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment. Reading and interpreting equipment manuals and production orders to perform required tasks such as tasks to set up, load materials, operate, monitor, troubleshoot, clean, and complete preventive maintenance on assigned machines. Setting up and operating single or multiple production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops. Checking machine output and identify any issues. Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications. Boxing tubes, filling out tags, inspect and gauge tubes. Observing and assessing tubes, communicate and recommend changes and adjustments. Keeping updated records on all machine information and activity, defective units, and final output. Communicate with team members and support staff across shifts, to ensure continuous production of quality parts with minimal waste.
