About The Position
The Extrusion Technician A is responsible for the change-over and operation of lines within their assigned island at Inteplast Group. This role requires a strong focus on maintaining good housekeeping, safety, quality, and production standards. The technician must work collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient operations. The position demands a proactive approach to identifying safety hazards and maintaining the quality of production across six production lines. The technician will also be involved in training Operator Trainees and must demonstrate mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform process maintenance effectively. In addition to operational responsibilities, the Extrusion Technician A is expected to adhere to all plant safety rules and company policies. They will be responsible for the housekeeping of their assigned area, ensuring that quality control procedures are followed, and managing production paperwork. The technician must be flexible and willing to fill in as a packer during breaks or when short-handed. They will also perform product changes, assist with troubleshooting equipment, and collaborate with maintenance on repairs. The role may require working overtime and handling job-related stress while fostering productive workplace interactions. The work environment for this position is primarily indoors, protected from weather conditions but subject to noise and vibration. The technician must be able to communicate effectively in a noisy environment and manage fluctuating movements of the body due to the nature of the work.
