Extrusion Process Technician
About The Position
Responsibilities Include but are not limited to the following: Links/returns raw materials using MES/SAP to ensure accurate inventory levels. Operates and troubleshoots extrusion and auxiliary equipment. Leads and performs material changeovers, set-ups, and start-ups as directed by area management. Performs and documents in-process sampling. Completes all required documentation accurately per GDP requirements. Adjust process parameters such as temperature, pressure, speed, and feed rates to maintain optimal extrusion conditions. Verifies that extruded products are package and labelled correctly. Champion a safety culture by ensuring that all safety guidelines, policies, and protocols are followed. Completes required training in a timely manner. Any other responsibilities assigned by area management. Qualifications/Education/Special Skills Physical ability to perform activity in the extrusion room Strong mechanical aptitude Experience leading troubleshooting efforts on extrusion or related equipment Experience making process adjustments to manufacturing equipment Strong organizational and communication skills Ability and willingness to work a 12 hour schedule
