1st Shift Extrusion Operator

About The Position

Adjust, calibrate and test equipment at the beginning of every shift to ensure proper pressure, speed, temperature and general operation. Set the dials and controls on the machine to ensure that the created product is the right size, shape and thickness Measure and complete orientation test it to make sure sheet conforms to the requested specifications. Follow standardized work instructions Fully participate in and support the Corvac Quality System Ensuring that the sheet has no defects and meets quality standards Complete accurate documentation for all required areas per shift Maintain a safe, well organized and efficient work area Perform PMs as required

Requirements

High School Diploma / GED preferred
2 years’ plastics experience required
Must have standard knowledge in plastics and extrusion
Mathematical & Mechanical aptitude
Ability to use and read measuring devices
Must be able to acquire a HILO license
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and twist for up to 10 – hour shift
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to use various hand tools
Ability to work independently
