As a Level II Extrusion Operator at our Beverly, MA facility, you’ll play a hands-on role in producing high-quality components that support Medtronic’s life-changing mission. We’re working 100% onsite as part of our commitment to fostering a culture of professional growth and cross-functional collaboration as we work together to engineer the extraordinary. Second shift: 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in manufacturing or machine operation.
  • Familiarity with extrusion manufacturing, quality inspection, or safety procedures.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
  • Strong attention to detail, especially when completing documentation and quality checks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and follow safety protocols.
  • Experience using microscopes, MicroVu, Instron, or similar testing equipment for product evaluation (e.g., tensile strength, burst, or crush testing).
  • Physical ability to stand, move, and lift materials as needed.
  • Proven track record of troubleshooting and problem-solving in a production setting.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate extrusion equipment to produce high-quality tubing and components.
  • Conduct quality control inspections: measure, test, and visually inspect products using precision testing equipment to identify and address defects.
  • Perform basic technical troubleshooting to ensure consistent product output.
  • Accurately complete required production paperwork and maintain detailed records.
  • Collaborate with team members to support a safe and efficient manufacturing environment.
  • Manage physical tasks, including moving finished products for inspection and lifting raw materials (up to 50 lbs) for machine loading.
  • Stand and move throughout the shift as part of the production process.
  • Comprehensive training will be provided.
