About The Position

The position involves assisting with order changes and set-ups, performing quality inspections and tests, cutting rolls, weighing and preparing roll tickets, monitoring and measuring silo levels, and unloading rail cars. The employee will prepare production logs, product tags, and time cards as necessary, operate a scrap grinder, and understand the recycling system. Additionally, the role requires transporting roll stock to the warehouse and adhering to plant safety and housekeeping guidelines to ensure a safe work environment. The position requires the ability to work 12-hour shifts on a 2.2.3 rotation from 5:45 AM to 6 PM.

Requirements

• No prior experience or training required
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to print simple sentences and legibly complete reports and time cards
• Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions
• Ability to add and subtract three-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
• Ability to perform operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form
• Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations
