About The Position

The position requires a seasoned professional with a minimum of ten years of experience in engineering and/or manufacturing within the medical devices sector. The candidate should possess a strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements and European medical device regulations, including MDR, ISO13485, and EN46001. The role involves significant responsibilities in both manufacturing and engineering domains, ensuring that milestones are met and that product improvements do not compromise the quality and safety of the company's offerings.

Requirements

• Minimum ten years of experience in engineering and/or manufacturing in medical devices.
• Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements and European medical device regulations, including MDR, ISO13485, and EN46001.
• Experienced in extrusion tool design and polymer processing.
• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a minimum of 10 years in the field of thermoplastic extrusion with at least five years at the management level.

Responsibilities

• Determine and support appropriate resources and staff to ensure that manufacturing milestones are met according to the Company's goals.
• Contribute to continued improvement to the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the Company's operations.
• Interact with the Research & Development Department to ensure that product improvements and changes do not compromise the efficacy of the Company's products.
• Hire and manage direct reports including providing performance reviews.
• Determine and support appropriate resources and staff to ensure that engineering milestones are met according to the Company's goals.
• Interact with the Manufacturing Department to ensure that product improvements and changes do not compromise the safety, efficacy, or manufacturability of the Company's products.
• Design and develop tooling for extruded products for internal and external use.
• Support the extrusion manufacturing lines with troubleshooting activities.
