About The Position

SUMMARY: The Extruder Operator will set up, operate, or tend machines that extrude and form continuous filaments from liquid polymer. This role will ensure the machinery is set up, works properly, and conforms with (and can produce materials that conform with) company quality, quantity, and efficiency standards.

Requirements

Ability to work with multiple production lines and departments.
Ability to operate and repair machinery and equipment.
Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work in a team environment.
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
3+ years' experience working in plastic production (extrusion) or other manufacturer.

Nice To Haves

Manufacturing: 3 years (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Provide support for production and operation of machines as needed.
Manage inventory of raw materials and ensure production is not interrupted.
Maintain the quality of products and production machines.
Assist with packaging and storage of finished products.
Complete production reports.
Provide support for production issues and troubleshoot when the need arises.
Provide system maintenance as needed.
Maintain a clean safe work environment, following Company operating and safety procedures.
Complete work reports for production management.
Propose ideas to improve productivity, product quality, and reduce problem areas.
Other duties as assigned.
