About The Position

Extruder Operator Swing Shift Monday – Thursday - 12pm-12am. Overtime as required. Fluoropolymer Resources LLC (FRL) is a global benchmark recycling company for melting processable fluoropolymers. Requirements

  • Previous extruder experience is desired.
  • At least 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing plant is ideal.
  • Previous powered industrial truck operation desired.

Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in the company Safety Program.
  • Set up and operate multiple plastic extruders including but not limited to assembly and disassembly of filter housings, changing dies, set up and operate mixing and blending equipment, loading feed hoppers, changing reels, cleaning extruder screws and barrels and other actions.
  • Ensure machines are running within safe operating conditions and report any deviations.
  • Monitor and as required, adjust process parameters within allowed SOPs to maintain optimal performance and prevent defects.
  • Communicate observed bottlenecks, inefficiencies, or equipment-related issues to supervision and/or Process Technician.
  • Make suggestions to the Process Technician related to potential process improvements that may enhance productivity and reduce waste.
  • Learn and perform quality control processes and procedures and conduct in-process and final inspections to verify product quality meets specifications.
  • Maintain accurate process, quality control and production logs.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Maintains and keeps company tooling and workspaces clean and orderly.
  • Selects, labels and processes samples as specified.
  • Transports, sets up and maintains product packaging and collection materials.
  • Receives training for and recording information and print labels using company bar code systems and computer keying.
  • Receives training on and operates material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Actively participates in company Continuous Improvement and LEAN MFG programs.
