About The Position

The Extruder Operator at Saint-Gobain is responsible for the safe and efficient manufacturing of tubing and profile extrusions, including setup, change-over, and quality control. This role requires flexibility to work on 2nd and 3rd shifts and involves operating machinery while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Manufacturing related experience
• Extrusion experience preferred
• Mechanical and technical aptitude
• General math skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of ISO procedures

Responsibilities

• Timely setups of extrusion machinery
• Maintaining line speeds while generating minimal scrap
• Making adjustments to extruder controls and downstream equipment
• Using tools and equipment safely and respectfully
• Following ISO Procedures
• Inspecting and ensuring the quality of finished products
• Using measuring devices to determine product quality
• Making all packaging components for finished products
• Completing required job records such as Production Records and Quality Records
