About The Position

The Extra Help Assistant/Fitness Center desk position in the fitness center will work with a variety of staff and students in the UA Little Rock Fitness Center. The position is vital to the success of everyday operations at the Donaghey Student Center. The assistant will gain a large amount of knowledge in understanding of daily operations, programming, and event planning of a large university student center. It offers the opportunity to grow as a student and professional. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.

Requirements

• High School diploma
• Must be able to work at least 15 hours per week (more hours may be required)

Responsibilities

• Ensure all members swipe for entry into the Fitness Center and verify eligibility
• Greet visitors/students
• Answer the phones
• Assist callers with the information they seek regarding the Fitness Center
• Print out Table/Door signs for events (as needed)
• Assist with other tasks as needed
• Become familiar with the campus and the A-Z directory on the university website
