About The Position

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock is seeking Extra Help/Trojan Works Student Workers to serve in various roles across campus as Institutional Work-Study (IWS) student workers. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy. It is a provisional appointment funded through a grant or contract, with annual renewal contingent upon continued grant funding and satisfactory job performance. The position involves customer service, answering phones, and clerical work, and is designed to provide students with flexible learning and internship opportunities.

Requirements

• Degree-seeking UA Little Rock students enrolled in classes at the time of application.
• Eligible to legally work 20 hours per week in the United States.
• Must be ineligible for Federal Work-Study (FWS).
• Experience with UA Little Rock technology and accounts (Qless, Workday, Email, Blackboard, and Go2Orientation).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for students and guests of the ASK Desk in the Student Services Center.
• Ensure all visitors are greeted promptly and with a positive, warm attitude.
• Provide outstanding customer support to students and guests.
• Answer student inquiries accurately in a professional manner, utilizing the UA Little Rock website and other provided resources.
• Assist students with accessing campus accounts and setting up passwords.
• Assist with the UA Little Rock New Student Instagram/TikTok accounts.
• Assist with answering the main University phone line on occasion.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Benefits
