Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Skills –relationship building/rapport, ability to learn basic technical computer skills, time management, personal accountability and drive.
  • Ability to professionally communicate fluently in verbal and written English.
  • Ability to support a diverse and inclusive work environment.
  • Computer literacy/basic computer skills to effectively navigate and utilize the technology required for the role.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of, and carefully follows all applicable federal and state laws and rules, compliance requirements and regulations including those prescribed by the U.S. Department of Education, accrediting agencies, state regulations and, and internal policies and procedures.
  • Effectively communicate compliance requirements to other staff as appropriate and quickly escalate any compliance concerns to the Compliance department.

  • Experience as a medical assistant
  • 1+ years’ experience in customer service, retail customer facing or hospitality role.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other business tools such as Microsoft Teams.
  • Other skills or abilities - critical thinking, problem solving, organization, interpersonal skills, and multi-tasking.

Responsibilities

  • Determine Eligibility : Evaluate students’ qualifications and eligibility for externship programs.
  • Assess and Place Students : Identify students’ strengths and weaknesses to match them with suitable externship opportunities.
  • Research and Secure Sites : Investigate potential externship sites, assess their suitability, establish new sites, and secure contracts for each extern.
  • Monitor Progress : May conduct regular site visits and maintain communication with site supervisors to monitor and support student progress.
  • Evaluate and Improve Performance : Obtain and review site evaluations of students, address any performance deficiencies, and develop action plans to ensure students meet required competencies.
  • Counsel Students : Provide guidance to students on externship rules, expectations, and procedures throughout the externship process.
  • Other duties as assigned .
