Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 3 years related practical work experience

Responsibilities

• Assist students with professional development activities, including resume writing and job readiness.
• Match students with appropriate externship sites at the completion of their in-class training.
• Ensure students begin externships within required timeframes.
• Track and monitor student attendance and progress at externship sites.
• Communicate student performance to Department Program Head; arrange advising or remedial sessions as needed.
• Collect, verify, and file all required paperwork from students and externship sites.
• Meet with students upon externship completion to provide job placement support and preparation.
• Develop and maintain new externship and job placement sites.
• Conduct at least one on-site visit during a student’s 200-hour externship.
• Contact externship site supervisors weekly to discuss student progress.
• Prepare and submit externship and placement data and reports.
