About The Position

Pepsi Bottling Ventures is seeking an External Sanitation to join their team. Pepsi Bottling Ventures is the nation’s largest private bottler and distributor of Pepsi beverages, based in NC, SC, MD, & DE. The company is jointly owned by Suntory and PepsiCo, both with long legacies in beverages. Suntory is a family-owned business from Japan, known for innovation, while PepsiCo is a global leader in convenient foods and beverages. Pepsi Bottling Ventures represents Suntory’s non-alcoholic beverage industry in the United States and has an 80-year plus legacy of providing PepsiCo products to the Carolinas and beyond. They make, sell, and distribute PepsiCo and other beverages, doing business in five states and holding exclusive rights for PepsiCo and Keurig Dr. Pepper beverages in certain counties. They also develop their own line of beverages, like Nature’s Twist lemonade, and continuously expand their portfolio. The External Sanitation role assures that products are manufactured in a clean and sanitary environment that complies with federal, state, and PCNA guidelines.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic math skills required.
  • Good written and oral communication skills required.
  • Must be able to successfully complete forklift certification.
  • Must be able to follow written procedures.
  • Able to read and understand chemical use instructions and precautions.
  • Must enjoy working off-shifts and in a wet environment.
  • Attention to detail and safety.
  • Must be able to work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year production or janitorial experience preferred.
  • Chemical safety and Good Manufacturing Practices background preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Externally cleans and sanitizes processing equipment.
  • Cleans non-processing equipment.
  • Maintains sanitation logs and reports to document plant and equipment cleaning.
  • Other duties as assigned.
