About The Position

The External Reporting Supervisor role at Cardinal Health is a supervisory position within the Finance department, focusing on international accounting and external reporting. The ideal candidate will be based in the Greater Columbus area and will be required to come into the Dublin, Ohio office weekly. This role involves overseeing US GAAP accounting activities and ensuring compliance with statutory financial statement reporting processes in various international jurisdictions within the Medical Segment. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing financial information for external release, performing reconciliations between US GAAP and local GAAP, and collaborating with third-party firms and local accounting teams to meet project deadlines and maintain high performance standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• 4+ years of accounting experience.
• Prior supervisory experience.
• External audit or financial reporting experience.
• Experience with IFRS or other global accounting standards.
• Experience with SAP and Hyperion Financial Management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee US GAAP accounting close and statutory responsibilities for international entities.
• Perform US GAAP to local GAAP account reconciliations and prepare statutory financial statements.
• Conduct trend analysis and balance sheet account reconciliations for entities in scope.
• Ensure compliance with company policy and internal controls.
• Work with third-party firms and local accounting teams to complete local GAAP TB and statutory financial statements.
• Collaborate with external auditors for entities requiring statutory audits.
• Identify and respond to internal control and financial statement risks.
• Hold self and others accountable for goals and results.
