About The Position

This position involves setting up and operating production processes, which may include CNC or manually controlled equipment. The operator will be responsible for troubleshooting production issues, ensuring quality and quantity of work, and performing routine maintenance. The role also includes training other operators and maintaining excellent housekeeping standards.

Requirements

• Grade 12 diploma.
• Demonstrated competency as Grinding Set Up Operator or equivalent machining background.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a minimum of one production process performing single and/or multiple functions, which may include CNC or manually controlled equipment.
• Perform problem solving and troubleshoot to resolve production/process issues to meet required standards.
• Responsible for quality and quantity of work produced by process.
• Monitor production process according to maintenance schedule and perform routine maintenance in a timely manner.
• Perform inspection of own work using precision measuring equipment to assess quality.
• Follow and accurately record data in routers, IMS, and other production tracking systems.
• Train other operators as needed.
• May be required to work in other departments or set up a machine for others to operate.
• Read and interpret production prints.
• Access production procedures using adequate computer skills.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping and 5S in all areas.
• Meet skill requirements identified in the training matrix and maintain certification through the Certified Operator Program.
