The External Mortgage Loan Officer (EMLO), will play a critical role in helping to establish and expand the Credit Union's brand throughout Clackamas County and the surrounding Portland metro area. Acting as the face of the Credit Union in their assigned territory, the EMLO is responsible for attracting and cultivating new mortgage loan originations by building strong relationships within the community, and leveraging their business development skills. The ideal candidate is a seasoned mortgage professional who is eager to grow their book of business and career; is well connected in the local real estate community and is passionate about helping members and prospective business partners achieve their goals. This position is considered a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) as defined by the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (SAFE Act). The law requires MLO to be registered in the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLSR).
