About The Position

All positions are located in Fresno/Clovis CA We are looking for an Extern to join our INSERT DEPT. NAME HERE team! Community Regional Medical Center is the largest of our three main hospitals and the flagship hospital of the Central Valley. This academic-affiliated, Level 1 Trauma Center is located on a 58-acre campus in downtown Fresno. It features one of the largest and busiest emergency departments in California as well as a comprehensive burn center. Our hospital serves 2.5 million people within 9 counties, averaging a daily census of 641 patients. Responsibilities Works limited time status under the direction of the RN mentor to provide patient care using defined procedures and standards in accordance with the goals of the unit and the philosophy of Community Medical Centers. This position is eligible for becoming an Extern 2 - Work Study once all criteria has been met.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
• Enrolled in a school of nursing.
• Completion of first semester in an ADN Nursing Program or second semester in a BSN Nursing Program.
• Enrolled in the work study program associated with school of nursing attended required
• BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required

Responsibilities

• Works limited time status under the direction of the RN mentor to provide patient care using defined procedures and standards in accordance with the goals of the unit and the philosophy of Community Medical Centers.
• This position is eligible for becoming an Extern 2 - Work Study once all criteria has been met.
