About The Position

As an Exterior Gardener at MGM Resorts International, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the luxury landscapes of our properties. This role involves day-to-day gardening tasks to ensure that outdoor areas are visually captivating for guests. You will work in a dynamic environment, primarily based at the ARIA Resort & Casino, and will be part of a union-based team dedicated to creating unique experiences.

Requirements

• At least two (2) years of relevant experience in exterior landscape maintenance.
• At least one (1) year of relevant experience in exterior landscape installation and/or renovation.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Must have a valid NV Driver's License or the ability to obtain one.
• Availability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Plant and transplant flowers, shrubs, trees, hedges, and other vegetation.
• Prune plants to maintain shape and promote growth.
• Water plants based on weather, location, and plant needs.
• Weed, fertilize, and monitor plant nutrition in flower beds and plant areas.
• Apply chemicals as needed following safety guidelines and regulations.
• Install irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants, drainage, and soil composition.
• Monitor and control pests and diseases to prevent damage to plants.
• Clean and maintain outdoor spaces, including rock application, raking, blowing, and washing.
• Use manual tools and specialized power equipment for gardening tasks.
• Drive and operate company vehicles, trailers, and/or specialized carts to transport materials and equipment.
• Inspect work areas for equipment malfunctions or safety hazards and report issues promptly.
