About The Position

The Exterior Day Porter provides the cleaning and upkeep of an assigned area. This position is ideal for someone just entering the workforce or returning with limited experience and education. The role involves various cleaning tasks and maintenance of outdoor areas.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• No experience required and on the job training provided
• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of similar work experience

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain buildings/facilities
• Place cushions out on the plaza furniture at the start of the shift
• Patrol hardscape and landscape areas around the building to remove litter
• Use the hose or pressure washer to rinse the plaza area, building entrances, and large planter at west entrance to remove dirt, debris, and algae buildup around potted plants, as needed
• Wipe down the large planter at the west entrance, as needed
• Clean the light poles along the river walking path, as needed
• Low dust patio furniture in the plaza area to clean the surfaces and remove cottonwood, webs, etc.
• High dust the light fixtures, soffits, walls, windows, and the tops of the umbrellas in the plaza to remove cottonwood, webs, etc.
• Wipe faux foliage in the plaza to remove cottonwood, webs, etc.
• Water the potted plants in the plaza
• Use a blower, brush, or other approved method to remove cottonwood from the artificial grass area
• Check the plaza and building entrance drains to keep them clear and clean, as needed
• Report any lights out, graffiti, vandalism, damages to the property, suspicious activity, or abandoned vehicles, as needed
• Wet floor signs will need to be placed when pressure washing or hosing areas
