About The Position

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to obtain an Oregon Department of Agriculture Pesticide Consultant License within six months of employment.
  • Knowledge of beef cattle, irrigated forage, and arid-climate rangeland production systems.
  • Proficiency with information technology and professional office software.
  • Ability to adapt to various digital communication tools and systems.
  • Demonstrated teamwork skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct needs assessments to identify educational needs in agriculture and natural resources.
  • Develop and deliver non-credit educational programs relevant to range, forage production, livestock, and general agriculture.
  • Serve as an educational liaison to local agricultural organizations and state and federal agencies.
  • Collaborate with agricultural producers, commodity organizations, and subject-matter specialists to provide Extension programs.
  • Design, develop, and maintain educational programming and outreach activities that are accessible and inclusive.
  • Utilize digital communications and technologies for program delivery and stakeholder engagement.
