About The Position

The Southern Extension District is seeking to hire a tenure track Assistant or a tenure track or tenured Associate Professor Educator. The Extension Educator for Payette County will lead outreach programs (80%), divided among small farms (30%), horticulture (40%), and 4-H youth development (10%). The position also includes applied research and scholarly work (5%), as well as University service and leadership responsibilities, including serving as County Chair (15%). The educator will collaborate with county commissioners, partners, and community organizations to ensure programs meet local needs and align with University of Idaho Extension priorities and the annual plan of work. Rank and tenure are negotiable based on how the candidate meets the criteria outlined in department and college bylaws. A stipend will be provided for serving as County Chair.
