About The Position

Make a difference in the lives of young people through hands-on learning and leadership development. This internship supports 4-H and youth programs that help youth build life skills, confidence, and a strong sense of belonging while exploring a wide-variety of interests. Interns will gain meaningful, real-world experience delivering programs, mentoring youth, and engaging with communities. You’ll be part of a supportive, collaborative team that values creativity, positive youth development, and community connection. This role offers a mix of in-person programming and planning, with opportunities for flexible scheduling depending on program needs. Requirements

  • Be an undergraduate student
  • Have an interest in the Extension program

Responsibilities

  • Execute a 6 week summer day camp series in both Agriculture & Home and Community areas utilizing approved curriculum
  • Collaborate with adult volunteers, local agencies, and 4-H coordinator
  • Manage a small budget
  • Advertise and report activities
  • Create summer recap poster for display at the Wayne County Fair
