About The Position
The above extended term substitute position is available for the 2025-2026 school year, effective September 2, 2025 (anticipated through June 18, 2026 or the return of the teacher).
Requirements
- New Jersey Teacher of Art Certification, required
- Prior experience working with high school students, preferred
- Hold an understanding and familiarity with the 2020 New Jersey Student Learning Standards for Media Arts and the National Core Arts Standards
- Experience with multimedia skills such as photography, digital graphics, and publishing
- Knowledgeable of best practices for teaching Photography I and II at the secondary level
- Experience with digital editing software (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite; Photoshop, Ipad Procreate App)
- Interest in creating a positive culture within the high school and district community, through Media Arts Education.
- Ability to be proficient in computer applications pertinent to support the position, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, Frontline Applications, and Student Information System.
