As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental and other disabilities in their daily lives. This includes providing personal care, assistance, and training across a variety of settings-such as home, social, recreational, day services, and community activities. Your work will be guided by each individual's personalized support plan (ISP), ensuring services are delivered in a respectful, person-centered manner. You will help individuals lead self-directed lives, reach personal goals, and actively participate in their communities. This role also promotes collaboration across teams and departments to ensure integrated, high-quality support. DSPs are expected to foster inclusive attitudes and behaviors that encourage community involvement and belonging.
