About The Position

Special Education Teachers will provide specialized instruction for students with special needs in order for students to achieve their goals established for Extended School Year (ESY) services. ESY services may look different for every child. ESY services are designed to maintain skills already acquired, not to learn new skills, and all specialized instruction and related services provided will reflect the unique instructional needs of each child. Special Education Teachers will also be responsible for monitoring and reporting progress toward identified IEP goals and objectives during the ESY session.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and endorsement in the areas of teaching assignment, certification, alternative certification or licensure
• current, valid South Dakota teaching certificate
• Post-Offer Criminal Background Check Required
