About The Position

About the Role We are seeking a skilled and patient-centered Extended Functions Dental Assistant to join our growing team. As an EFDA, you will work at the top of your license performing expanded clinical procedures under the direct supervision of a licensed dentist, while helping create an exceptional experience for every patient. What You Will Do -Place and finish composite restorations under dentist supervision -Perform coronal polishing, sealant application, and fluoride treatments -Take and develop digital radiographs (X-rays) per Missouri regulations -Apply cavity liners, bases, and desensitizing agents -Assist with impressions, temporaries, and cementation procedures -Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation -Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control protocols (OSHA/CDC) -Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care

Requirements

• Active Missouri EFDA certificate
• Missouri Dental Assistant registration
• Radiography certification (Missouri compliant)
• CPR/BLS certification (current)
• Minimum 1 year of chairside dental assisting experience
• Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years of clinical dental assisting experience
• Proficiency with dental practice management software
• Experience with digital X-ray systems
• Strong patient communication skills
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
• Oral surgery assisting experience
