About The Position

This form allows individuals to express interest in joining a Programs Team at Constellation. Expressions of interest are reviewed on a rolling basis. The Programs Team aims to strengthen various aspects of cooperation and intellectual discourse, advance Constellation's mission to safely navigate transformative AI, and strengthen the AI safety field's capacity by mobilizing and developing talent. The team is structured around three main areas: Convening Programs, Incubation & Growth Programs, and Talent Mobilization Programs. Convening Programs focus on relationship building, intellectual discourse, professional support, collaboration, and coordination by offering hosting services and facilitated events, enabled by network curation and interaction design. Incubation & Growth Programs advance the mission by creating conditions for high-leverage ideas and organizations to emerge, enabling new paradigms to be tested and scaled, and addressing capability constraints through project and organizational support across the lifecycle. Talent Mobilization Programs strengthen the AI safety field's capacity by mobilizing and developing talent into high-impact roles, focusing on entry into the field, movement within the field, and sustained network impact through strategic talent deployment.

Responsibilities

Strengthen relationship building as a general investment in future cooperation potential
Strengthen intellectual discourse such as sharing knowledge or exploring new ideas
Strengthen professional support such as feedback, advice, or introductions
Strengthen collaboration involving pooled labor and/or other resources on shared goals
Strengthen coordination of complementary actions, to avoid redundancy or gaps
Offer hosting services in physical or virtual workspaces, with lightweight facilitation, to encourage self-directed cooperation
Offer facilitated events, ranging from high-touch hosting for individual VIPs to large workshops and conferences
Enable network curation including the framework that defines individuals’ and teams’ terms of participation, and the policies, processes & tools for curating participants
Enable interaction design including the design and implementation of cultural norms, formal policies, and functional designs for convening spaces, both physical and online
Advance Constellation’s mission to safely navigate transformative AI
Create the conditions for high-leverage ideas and orgs to emerge
Enable new paradigms and interventions to be tested and scaled
Address capability constraints via projects & orgs across the lifecycle: idea → development → adoption
Help projects and organizations incubate and accelerate their impact by offering targeted, lifecycle-aligned support
Support early-stage ideas through structured programs and lightweight experiments (Project Incubation)
Help founders launch nonprofits or for-profits focused on high-leverage safety work (Org Incubation)
Offer shared tools, systems, workspace and biz ops services that reduce friction and improve execution (Core Infrastructure)
Provide high-quality execution and strategy support to accelerate or scale impact (Acceleration Services)
Help translate promising work into field impact via comms support, partnerships, and targeted institutional engagement (Adoption Support)
Focus direct execution on areas where we have strong comparative advantage
Provide advisory support, shared tooling, and connect teams to trusted external specialists for other areas
Strengthen the AI safety field’s capacity to meet its most pressing challenges by mobilizing and developing talent into high-impact roles
Place individuals into their first AI safety-aligned roles (Entry into the field)
Enable transitions into more impactful or better-aligned roles (Movement within the field)
Increase the effectiveness and retention of individuals in high-impact positions (Sustained network impact)
