The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in an automotive service environment, with a preference for those who have a background in a busy tire store, demonstrating expertise in high-volume tire services.

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience required (tire store experience preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an automotive technician, preferably with dedicated experience in a high-volume tire store or express service bay.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment, and the ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
  • A professional appearance, a positive attitude, and excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Pre-employment background check including motor vehicle report is required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance services: Complete lube, oil, and filter changes quickly and accurately.
  • Tire installation and service: Perform expert tire installations, mounting, balancing, rotation, and repairs.
  • Comprehensive vehicle inspections: Conduct thorough multi-point inspections (MPIs) on all vehicles, checking fluid levels, brakes, belts, hoses, and other components.
  • Fluid maintenance: Inspect, replenish, drain, and fill all vehicle fluids (coolant, transmission, power steering, etc.).
  • Battery service: Perform battery tests and installations as needed.
  • Documentation and communication: Clearly and accurately document all work performed and inspection findings on repair orders, communicating any additional service needs to the Service Advisor.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment: Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain an organized, professional, and clean service bay at all times.
  • Stay current with training: Attend factory-sponsored training classes and review technical bulletins to stay informed of new technology and repair procedures.
