Lube Technicians assist customers with low-level service requests including oil changes and other fluid replacements. Their job is to quickly and professionally complete the maintenance tasks customers need to be performed to get safely back on the road. After services are completed, the Lube Technician is responsible for preparing service reports and invoicing the customer as well as recommending the next service date. The main priority of a Lube Technician is to provide quality maintenance to vehicles, helping to build confidence in the company and garner lifelong customer relationships.

  • Performing oil and filter changes
  • Checking tire inflation
  • Replenishing vehicle fluids
  • Lubricating joints and fittings
  • Inspecting vehicles for potential problems
  • Replacing wiper blades and car batteries
  • Keeping vehicle interiors clean during maintenance tasks
  • Keeping the shop clean and trash taken out
  • An aptitude for mechanical diagnosis and repair
  • Demonstrated experience with servicing vehicles
  • A valid drivers license and the ability to work legally in the US
  • Passing a drug screening and legal background check
  • Time management and organizational skills as well as hand-eye coordination
  • Effective communication and customer service skills
  • The ability to read and follow complex directions in manuals as well as relay information in reports
  • The physical ability to perform all tasks related to the position of Lube Technician, such as bending and reaching, standing for long periods of time and lifting over 60 pounds
