About The Position

Our Express Service Lane plays a key role in meeting today's fast-paced expectations for vehicle maintenance and care. We're seeking a proactive, customer-centric Express Service Advisor who thrives in a high-volume environment and is eager to help keep our customers on the road. As an Express Service Advisor, you will be the first point of contact for customers entering our express service lane. You'll guide customers through rapid maintenance services (oil changes, tire rotations, multi-point inspections, etc.), provide transparent estimates, coordinate with technicians and parts, and ensure a seamless, efficient, and friendly service experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some automotive/technical exposure preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor; experience in a high-volume service lane is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills - able to explain vehicle issues and service recommendations in simple, clear language.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple customer interactions simultaneously.
  • Basic automotive knowledge is helpful; willingness to learn Hyundai systems and procedures.
  • Proficiency with computers and dealership service software.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, walk service drive and shop floor, and interact with customers and technicians.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers promptly and professionally, and perform vehicle drop-off walk-arounds to identify and document service opportunities.
  • Schedule and manage customer appointments and handle vehicle intake for express services.
  • Provide clear, accurate estimates of labor, parts, and associated costs - secure customer authorization for recommended services.
  • Coordinate with technicians and parts staff to ensure efficient flow of the express lane and prompt completion of services.
  • Keep customers informed about status updates - estimated completion times, any new findings, and final approvals.
  • Upsell recommended maintenance services and packages in a customer-focused, transparent manner.
  • Finalize the service transaction: review work done, explain charges, collect payment, and ensure customer satisfaction at vehicle pickup.
  • Maintain logs, update service records, work with the dealership's service management software, and help drive CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) scores.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional service drive area in accordance with dealership standards.
