About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a Transport & Housekeeping Manager for Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, located in Newark, New Jersey. This is over a 600-bed acute care facility managing a team of 40 union staff. In this role you will be responsible for the Patient Transport Department, managing 2nd shift ( 2:30pm-11:30pm), with rotating weekends. This position will report to a GM on-site. Free parking! Requirements

Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to maintain the highest of standards and implement company policies
Strong management skills, preferably in health care

Knowledge of best practices in Patient safety
Minimum Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

Implement performance improvement and quality assurance programs targeted to improve patient satisfaction and throughput.
Interact with patients and the staff
Perform HR functions including hiring, orientation, training, payroll and direct supervision and development
Maintain safety documentation and training for unit
