About The Position

Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring an Express Lube Technician in Annapolis Junction, Maryland for 2nd Shift. The Express Lube Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance services on heavy equipment located on customer job sites or in a shop setting as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a shop service environment.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent driving record and valid Commercial Driver's License or ability to obtain CDL or DOT certification.
• Ability to operate a variety of equipment in the field and on customer job sites.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products and service software.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with heavy equipment maintenance.
• Ability to work overtime as required by job and customer demand.
• Experience in a customer service role.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance services on heavy equipment at customer job sites or in a shop setting.
• Work with minimal supervision while maintaining a strong mechanical aptitude.
• Operate boom truck or equivalent and properly use overhead and field service cranes.
• Complete service reports and provide pertinent details for work orders using computer and service software.
• Comply with all safety and environmental requirements.
