About The Position

Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring an Express Lube Technician in Williamsburg, Virginia for 2nd Shift. The Express Lube Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance services on heavy equipment located on customer job sites or in a shop setting as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a shop service environment.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent driving record and valid Commercial Driver's License or ability to obtain a CDL or DOT certification.
• Capable of operating a variety of equipment in the field and on customer job sites.
• Proficient in the use of a computer, Microsoft Office products, and service software.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance services on heavy equipment at customer job sites or in a shop setting.
• Work with minimal supervision and promote a positive customer experience.
• Comply with all safety and environmental requirements.
• Efficiently use supplies with limited waste.
• Complete service reports and provide pertinent details for work orders.
• Operate boom truck or equivalent and use overhead and field service cranes.
• Travel extensively throughout the year as required by job and customer demand.
