About The Position

The Express Car Wash Team Leader plays a key role in overseeing daily car wash operations and leading a team dedicated to providing an exceptional customer experience. This position requires a hands-on leader who can balance operational excellence, team development, and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for managing car wash performance, coaching team members, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and ensuring smooth day-to-day functionality of the wash and related equipment. You will be trained in all aspects of car wash operations, including system troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and customer service excellence. The Express Car Wash Team Leader must set the tone for professionalism, teamwork, and efficiency while fostering a culture that aligns with company values and performance goals. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Six to nine months of supervisory or leadership experience preferred, ideally in a car wash, retail, or service-related industry
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to coach, motivate, and hold team members accountable
  • Proficiency with basic math and ability to handle cash or POS transactions accurately
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, especially under pressure
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders as needed
  • Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Must be 21 years old

Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and coach Express Car Wash Team Members to ensure exceptional customer service and consistent performance.
  • Oversee daily operations of the car wash, including staffing, scheduling, and shift management.
  • Motivate and guide the team to achieve sales goals through upselling and customer engagement.
  • Monitor and maintain wash tunnel equipment and systems, performing basic troubleshooting and coordinating with maintenance for complex repairs.
  • Ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety of all customer and operational areas, including the wash tunnel, vacuum stations, and restrooms.
  • Resolve customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Complete daily reports, reconcile transactions, and communicate operational updates to management.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations.
  • Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Promote a positive, team-oriented environment focused on quality and efficiency.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
