About The Position

The Export Supervisor’s role will be to lead and motivate the export team to achieve the overall objective day by day. This role will assist in ensuring that the export operations team in the warehouse provides a professional and excellent level of service for existing and new customers. The best candidate for this role will be able to maintain a positive attitude and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Requirements

  • Must have experience in exports, with a specific preference in protein exports.
  • Advanced knowledge in international trade regulations, cold chain logistics, and documentation like sanitary/phytosanitary certificates.
  • Transit certification knowledge.
  • Thorough knowledge of import/ export and multi-country requirements.
  • Background and experience working in an environment and processes regulated by the USDA.
  • Thorough knowledge of export shipping regulations and policies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Speed and accuracy in mathematics are necessary
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be detail-oriented with strong time management skills
  • Strong ability to multitask and change priorities on short notice
  • Must be able to be comfortable interacting with all types of people and different situations
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience in reach trucking, selecting, and loading at G&C Foods
  • Must have excellent computer skills with a strong background in Microsoft Office products, specifically proficient in Outlook

Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating an inspiring team environment with a culture of open communication by listening to team members’ feedback and resolving any issues or conflicts
  • Must obtain Level-2 eAuthentication credentials online to complete PHIS documentation necessary to export goods out of the country
  • Must stay up to date on FSIS requirement updates through the FSIS website and communications with CSIs and DVMs
  • Will collect information daily of products being shipped out of the country to fulfill FSIS and PHIS documentation
  • Must be able to calculate information of product establishments quickly and efficiently, including weights and case counts for each load
  • Must be flexible and can step into any position needed to complete processes prior to and after documentation, for example, reach trucking, selecting, and loading
  • Supervisor to complete FSIS applications and health certificates.
  • Supervisor will verify that all FSIS applications are accurate and completed in a timely fashion.
  • Must be able to use a typewriter to complete FSIS health certificates
  • Utilize label printers effectively for repacking, translation labels, and USDA marks with consistency and accuracy
  • Build and foster a sound working relationship interdepartmentally and externally
  • Handle sales team contact and other priority communication using strong time management skills
  • Must have a flexible work schedule as the workload may require staying late and coming in early
  • Additional duties as assigned.
