Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Demonstrates strong work ethic, dependability, and commitment to safety and accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment to meet productivity and operational goals.
  • Ability to accurately select, inspect, and prepare products for export while maintaining quality standards.
  • Familiarity with or ability to learn Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to support inventory accuracy and traceability.
  • The employee is required to walk for most of the shift.
  • Employee must also be able to talk and hear.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • The employee must regularly lift, push and pull, and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Employee is required to stoop, kneel, or crouch and handle a hand truck loaded with cases of produce

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of experience in produce, warehouse operations, order selection, or material handling.
  • Ability to learn and safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Order Selection: Read and accurately select products based on export customer orders for air and ocean shipments.
  • Container Loading: Load shipping containers to ensure product is properly staged and secured for long-distance transport.
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect all products to ensure they meet quality standards and will arrive in optimal condition.
  • Inventory Accuracy: Weigh, count, and verify items to ensure alignment with order requirements and maintain traceability.
  • Labeling & Documentation: Properly label and mark products, pallets, and containers for export compliance and tracking.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate warehouse equipment including pallet jacks, forklifts, and WMS devices.
  • Warehouse Support: Assist with receiving, put-away, replenishment, and general warehouse organization.
  • Product Handling: Sort and store products based on size, type, grade, ripeness, and product codes.
