About The Position

As an Export Control Manager, you provide authoritative guidance on national and international regulations like the ITAR and EAR, ensuring Bosch's compliance with them. As part of our global Export Control team, you further develop global standards and guidelines in U.S. (re-) export controls law in strong collaboration with your international colleagues.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of Export Controls experience and an Associate Degree.
  • Experience with export control in the U.S. (EAR, OFAC, ITAR and FTR).
  • 1+ years of proven ability to influence and motivate people.
  • In-depth knowledge of sanctions and export control laws in the U.S.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Internal audit skills.
  • Continuous learner; willing to stay abreast and enjoys research.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate activities and collaborate with groups.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated ability to act independently upon information and make decisions in adherence to compliance, regulations and policies.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and understand issues and resolve inquiries and develop appropriate solutions quickly, effectively and independently.
  • Knowledge of sanctions and export control laws in the EU & UN.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Experience in the automotive industry and understanding of export compliance related to software and technology.

Responsibilities

  • Manage global risk management and derive globally applicable governance requirements.
  • Develop common minimum standards in the Export Controls fields of Jurisdictional Review, Guardrails, Export Tagging, Tech. Controls, Military Business, Reg. Tracking.
  • Monitor legal developments (including Executive Orders, EAR, OFAC and ITAR) and changes to U.S. (re) export control laws and regulations.
  • Assess the impact of legal changes on the business activities of Bosch Group and its subsidiaries globally.
  • Support the definition of appropriate measures and set related process requirements.
  • Support the conceptual design and further development of the re-export control law process landscape for the Bosch Group.
  • Further develop existing reporting systems and use results for the implementation of further requirements.
  • Conduct export audits/health checks for re-export compliance.
  • Monitor data analysis with regards to risk indicators in the area of export controls.
  • Act as a contact person for business units, central departments, and authorities.
